I was born and raised in Aspen, nestled in the Elk Mountains of Colorado, ancestral land of the Weeminuche band of the Ute Nation of Indians. Covered in snow half of the year and bursting with life and clear water the other half, my roots are steeped in the purity of high alpine lakes and crisp mountain air.
Forgoing formal education, I've spent my adult life investigating the origins of where things come from. Travels around the world have informed the ways that I have chosen to live my life and share what inspires me. From remote rural villages of East Timor to the fragrant fields of Provence, studying with my senses has been the greatest source of learning.
My fascinations with food, fiber and the shelters we dwell in continue to show up in the varied ways that we as humans get to experience them. It is a pleasure to share a bit of that journey here.
